PA Visit: Spring '08

We all enjoyed our trip home to Pennsylvania. Mom and Dad thank everyone for the brief time off. The boys loved visiting with all the grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Mark and Nicole's visit - Easter 2008

Uncle Mark and Aunt Nicole came to celebrate Easter with us in Germany! Jack was excited to see the much anticipated swing set being put together in the backyard by Daddy and Uncle Mark. The week was filled with German School, bowling, day trips, and lots and lots of playing. We finished the week with a trip to Amsterdam, Holland's Keukenhof Gardens, and Koln's Dom Cathedral. Jack's 3rd Birthday

Jack turned 3 years old on 22 Feb. Of course we celebrated with his traditional "rice and beans and stuff" dinner, mom and dad's best attempt at Baba's apple cake and lots of presents from family and friends. We then hit the much anticipated Ikea so Jack could play in their play area and ball pit (off-limits to kids under 3!)

Eli is 1!

Happy first birthday Eli! We celebrated the big day with a trip to the doctor, complete with a blood draw and several shots, a ride in the new car seat, and plenty of cake and presents.

Our trip to the Swiss Alps

We spent four days in the Swiss Alps where we rented a house with several other families. There wasn't quite as much snow as we anticipated but the boys had a good time sledding with their friends. Oscar came along too and enjoyed laying around by the fireplace. See some more pictures in the Radio Photo Gallery.

New Year's in Paris

The family enjoyed ringing in 2008 under the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. We had a great time checking out all the sights and just "hanging out" in some good weather.

Christmas 2007

Jack and Eli are having a great Christmas visit with Aunt Naomi and Uncle Tim. Thanks to everyone for all the gifts. So far, we have enjoyed the holiday, traveled to Heidelberg and actually visited the castle, plan on going baby shopping, and will head out to Paris tomorrow. A visit from Mommom and Poppop

Another early Christmas for Jack and Eli... we welcomed Mommom and Poppop to Germany. Their trip took us to Trier, around the Kaiserslautern area, up the Rhein and up some castle stairs, to one of the largest Christmas markets in Germany -- Frankfurt, and to the old city of Heidelberg.
