| From Madrid |
We love Spain, and spent the busy four day MLK weekend there. Most of our time was spent in Madrid. It is a very lively and fun place to just stroll around. We toured the Palacio Real, "where the King lives." We also toured the Real Madrid Futbol stadium. Eli wanted to know, "Where are the players?" We rode buses and metros, found several playgrounds, saw Picaso's "greatest" work, ate chocolate con churros, and otherwise simply enjoyed the warmth of the city.
On Sunday, we took the fast train to Toledo. This train left from the same station as the terrorist bombings of 2004. The train made the 55 mile journey in under 30 minutes... do the math. Mom and Dad got their workout in Toledo as everything is uphill. We strolled through the labyrinth of streets and saw one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world.
